MADE

During the month of January, we are going through a series called "MADE", based off the MTV show. We've been talking about how our God is a Creator, a Potter who is always working, creating, making, and transforming. I say often that the biggest evidence that God exists is a changed life. For someone to say, "I used to be this way, but God did what no one else could do. He made me into a completely different person!" How incredible is that? God ushers in a transformation and does not rest until the work is complete. Philippians 1:6 says, "And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns."

So this series we're doing is focused on students who are far away from God. Those who need to be changed. Who look at their spiritual lives as that socially-awkward geek in desperate need of a change. And what greater thing could possibly happen than for God to come along and transform their lives? I don't mean give them a fuzzy feeling. I mean COMPLETELY revolutionize their life??! Because as impressive as it is for the class geek to be transformed into the prom king, that doesn't come close to the amazing work that God does in us when we give our lives to Him!

This past Sunday night, Jason Barrineau from the Franklin campus spoke about how God offers freedom from our sin. We are not who we used to be. When God enters the picture, He brings forgiveness, healing, and freedom from the "old life". We are no longer the socially-awkward nerd.

This Sunday night we'll be talking about how much farther God goes in transforming us. He doesn't just change us from the class geek into average joe. He transforms us into the prom king! He doesn't just wipe away our sins (as awesome as that is). He makes us into a completely different person!

Please pray God will transform lives. That His Spirit will speak clearly and powerfully to students. That He will do what no one else can possibly do...MAKE us into what we were designed to become!

Hi brother! That sounds like such an awesome series and opportunity for the youth at TPC. I hope to hear how it goes. I am definitely a product of surrendering complete control to God to allow His complete works in my life. This period in my life I feel is a living testament to what God can do when you let Him. See you soon!
